8 a.m. (Meal #1): breakfast casserole

11 a.m. (Meal #2, heavy snack): cashews

2 p.m. (Meal #3): Salad, grilled pineapples, grilled chicken, 3 strawberries, chicken salad (eating out)

5 p.m. (Meal #4, light snack): cashews

7 p.m. (Meal #5): 5 sushi – tuna, smoked salmon, salmon, and eel (eating out)

9 p.m. (Light Snack): homemade bran muffin


day 58

8 a.m. (Meal #1): whole wheat cereal, 2% milk

11 a.m. (Meal #2, heavy snack): Southwestern salad with black beans, corn, and grilled chicken, scoop chocolate ice cream

2 p.m. (Meal #3): Starbucks yogurt with strawberry, blueberry, and granola

5 p.m. (Meal #4, light snack): Sprite (on plane)

7 p.m. (Meal #5): garden salad

9 p.m. (Light Snack):

single, no children, no prospect thoughts

It’s funny how a man’s love makes a woman feel like she can conquer the world. They say love for a child gives a woman focus.

I wonder if I’ll ever know either of these for myself.

back to the real world

Back to Dallas. I’ve been at home with my family since Friday and it’s been an amazing break from reality. I’ve gotten lots of rest and enjoyed a great time with my family. I haven’t had a real vacation in years, so this trip was long overdue. We all agreed to do nothing but rest, and in between get in good eating and good shopping. That is all we did for four days. 🙂

I feel rejuvenated. This time off has reinforced my commitment to getting my life in order on all fronts. It is time to really live the good life – rested, relaxed, enjoying friends and family, pursuing hobbies, and enjoying every minute.
